High Performance and Reliable Disc Screens

CP Disc Screens provide the best separation in the industry for newspaper, cardboard, mixed paper and containers via our patented disc screening technology. Our screens provide you with high throughput paired with low maintenance requirements. CP leads the way with the  most efficient screening technology for separating 2D and 3D materials. Contact us today to learn more about our disc screen technology.

Some of our screens include:

The CPScreen automatically separates small fibers from containers, and 2D from 3D material, easily and efficiently. Small screen openings decrease loss of fiber to container line, recovering even the smallest pieces of fiber. CP’s long-lasting rubber cam-style discs are specially engineered to have consistent spacing at all points at all times to make discs highly resistant to both jamming and wrapping. Cam discs also have low amplitude that avoids aggressive separation to keep fiber clean of small containers and other contaminates. CP’s screens ensure that material is sized properly for the most efficient sort possible.

Features & Benefits:

  • Cam-Discs are highly resistant to jamming and wrapping- 80%+ reduction in wrapping and needed maintenance
  • Variable frequency drive motors
  • Small screen openings minimizes loss of small fibers to container line
  • CP Syncdrive™ uses carbon fiber timing belts drive rather than chains, eliminating the need for oilers, tensioners or adjustments, while reducing wear, maintenance, and noise
  • Bolt in “spindle” shafts allow for easy removal or replacement without removing side panels
  • Disc are in an assembly of 5 discs; one bolt per disc assembly allows fast disc replacement
  • Electronic deck angle hydraulically adjustable in 1degree increments from control panel
  • Designed around safety: harness connection, a hydraulic maintenance floor, lock-out tag-out, and mechanical lock on shafts

The CP NEWScreen is engineered to effectively separate larger fiber from mixed paper, containers, dirt and debris. Our patented long-lasting finger disc technology ensures efficient separation and higher throughput paired with the lowest maintenance in the industry.

Features & Benefits:

  • Automatically separates large fiber from mixed paper, containers and debris
  • Patented one-piece, single-bolt, molded-rubber finger discs allow for greater separation efficiency with long disc life
  • Easy and fast replacement of rubber  finger discs without removing the shaft
  • Lowest disc cost per ton
  • “Universal shafts” with preset disc spacing configurations at 6”, 8” and 10” allows screen to be reconfigured easily to target different size fiber and increase throughput
  • Four individually adjustable, variable speed rotor drives to optimize separation
  • CP Syncdrive™ uses carbon fiber timing belts rather than chains, reducing wear, maintenance, and noise and eliminates the need for oilers, tensioners or adjustments
  • Low labor maintenance, easy installation and integration
  • Variable speed drives and hydraulically adjustable deck, ease angle changes quickly
  • Designed around safety: harness connection points exceed CE and OSHA standards, a hydraulic maintenance floor extends on demand to provide safe access, lock-out tag-out trapped key system, and mechanical lock on shafts prevents “roll back” of shafts during maintenance

The CP OCCScreen delivers the most efficient OCC (old corrugated cardboard) separation in the industry. Our innovative OCCScreen automatically separates cardboard from other fibers, containers and debris. Consisting of durable thick steel discs, the elliptical offset pattern provides lateral agitation to remove contaminates, leaving the OCC end-product highly marketable.

Features & Benefits:

  • Variable speed drive to allow operator to adapt to material
  • Discs specially engineered to have consistent spacing at all points to prevent jamming
  • Large offset elliptical discs provide lateral agitation to shake loose contaminants
  • Long lasting steel discs for lowest maintenance requirements in the industry
  • 8” square tube rotors for long service life
  • Available in multiple deck configurations to ensure the highest quality end-product
  • Welded design for easy maintenance
  • Easy access to each rotor and multiple clean-out doors for easy and safe access
  • Lifting eye plates for ease of installation
  • Shear bars at transition point to guide material flow
  • Special serrated elliptical discs made of 5/8″ steel plate
  • Capacity up to 30TPH
  • Variable speed drive motors options

Glass Breaker Screen

CP’s Glass Breaker Screen provides an industry-proven best way to simplify glass processing. Durable cast chromium elliptical discs provide maximum glass breakage while decreasing jams and downtime. Heavy-duty and low-maintenance, this multi-level screen is field-proven to break glass and separate broken glass and fines from fiber and containers at optimum efficiency without losing any aluminum.

Features & Benefits:

  • Non-wear discs minimizes losses of aluminum and PET to fines
  • Maximizes glass breakage without crushing
  • Cast chromium elliptical discs
  • Lowest maintenance costs in the industry
  • Increases glass capture rate
  • Minimizes contaminants in fiber, plastic, aluminum and steel end-products
  • Dramatically improves marketability of end-products
  • Heavy duty structural steel frame
  • CP Syncdrive™ uses carbon fiber timing belts drive rather than chains eliminating the need for oilers, tensioners or adjustments, while reducing wear, maintenance, and noise

Scalping Screen

CP’s Scalping Screen is positioned at the front of the sort line and separates small fiber, glass, containers and fines from large pieces of fiber. The CP Scalping Screen increases efficiency of the glass breaker by preventing “blinding”, while eliminating small containers from entering the CP NEWScreen. The Scalping Screen contributes to keeping both the fiber and container line much cleaner while increasing system capacity and lowering system maintenance. It also lowers labor costs, reducing the amount of sorters on the fiber line.

Features & Benefits:

  • Automatically separates small glass, fiber, containers and fines from large fiber
  • Unique offset elliptical pattern provides lateral agitation to free trapped material and riders
  • Cleaner and more marketable end-products
  • Increases system processing capacity
  • Lowers labor costs through decreasing amount of sorters needed on fiber line
  • Consistent spacing between discs at all points at all times prevents jamming
  • Bolt-in “spindle” shafts allows shafts to be removed or replaced
  • Waterfall design, along with clocked, elliptical discs ensure optimum agitation of material
  • CP Syncdrive™ uses carbon fiber timing belts rather than chain drives, eliminating the need for oilers, tensioners or adjustments, while reducing wear, maintenance and noise

Accelerator Screen

The CP Accelerator Screen is designed to remove the balance of any fine particles that may be included in the stream after separation by the CP Screen. These fine particles typically include small broken glass, dirt, and any other undesirable debris. The Accelerator Screen is also used to spread and accelerate the materials prior to presenting it to an optical sorter.

Features & Benefits:

  • 1 deck with 8-finger discs
  • Maximizes optical sorter separation
  • Speeds up material and evenly feeds material into optical sorter
  • Removes fine particles from stream
